Compare pocket money apps for kids
With Sonik Pocket, children spend their pocket money in the Sonik Pocket Store, straight from the Spend wallet in their app. They do not need a debit card of their own.
That spending happens only in the Sonik Pocket Store, not in other shops or on other websites. Sonik Pocket is an early-learning app where children aged 3 to 10 earn, save and spend. Below, we compare it with Rooster Money and GoHenry, so you can see which way of doing pocket money suits your family.
How Sonik Pocket works
Children learn at every step: they earn through missions, decide where each reward goes, and stop to think before they spend.
-
You set a mission
Pick the job, the deadline and the reward. A money reward comes from your own wallet and is set aside straight away.
-
They do it, you approve it
When you approve, the reward is released. Your child puts it in Spend, Save or one of their Goals.
-
They spend it in the Store
Your child buys from the Sonik Pocket Store with their Spend wallet. A Launch check asks one money question first, and every purchase shows in the app for the Master Guardian (the grown-up who set up the family).
